The mask can effectively block 0.3-micron particles and Xiaomi claims that it has PM2.5 filtration efficiency as high as 99.97 percent. It has a leather texture cover with a silicone material inside. It has a 360-degree adaptable ring design. Xiaomi has said that the two packs of the mask are required for one month, assuming that it is used for 2 hours a day. A single mask has 15 hours of life and going by this, the average cost per day of the mask is around Rs 17.
It has four layers of filtration and soft and skin friendly fabric for a snug and comfortable fit. As of now, it is available only in black color. It weighs just 32.2 grams and lasts for three years if the packaging is left unopened.
