Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced that it will unveil the Mi Smart Band 6 during its March 29 “Mega” Launch Event. The Mi Smart Band 6 will be a successor to the Mi Band 5 which was launched as the Mi Smart Band 5 globally in September last year. Xiaomi has not shared any specifications of the Mi Smart Band 6 but it is expected to carry a similar design as the Mi Smart Band 5. Xiaomi announced the Mi Smart Band 6 launch via a post on Twitter, where the company said the product will launch on March 29, at 7:30PM GMT (5PM IST). The Mi Smart Band will launch alongside other products from the Chinese company, possibly the Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, and the Mi 11 Lite. The company may also launch a Mi Mix device during the March 29 “Mega” launch event. While Xiaomi has not announced any details of the Xiaomi Mi Band 6, the product has been leaked at least a couple of times in the recent past.

According to known tipster Mukul Sharma, who goes by the name @Stufflistings on Twitter, the Mi Smart Band 6 was spotted on Indonesian Telecom certification website as well as the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) website, hinting at an imminent India launch. The Mi Smart Band 6 is rumoured to come with an SpO2 sensor, Alexa Support, and will feature a 1.1-inch display. It is also said to come with about 30 activity modes including dance, cricket, Zumba, Kickboxing, and basketball. The Mi Smart Band 6 is also said to be available with the option of NFC as well and will likely offer 24-hour heart rate tracking and sleep tracking features.

The Mi Band 6 will also launch in India, given the history of Xiaomi wearables’ availability in the market. However, it is not known if the company will bring the Mi Smart Band 6 to India on March 29 itself or at a later date.
