VIRUS OUTBREAK-US DEATH MILESTONES Map & Chart. The United States has the most COVID-19 related deaths in the world and has surpassed 500,000. The following are two digital embeds tracking these deaths. The first, a map of deaths by county over time, letting the user play an animated map or scrub through dates manually. Second, a chart shows the waves of new daily deaths over time with the 7-day average line. These two embeds will update daily based on finalized daily totals from Johns Hopkins University.
