New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said US President Donald Trump was 'making arrangements' to send the USNS Comfort to America's financial capital.

New York is to get a 1,000-room hospital ship that will dock in the city's harbor to fight coronavirus, state Governor Andrew Cuomo said on Wednesday.

Cuomo said US President Donald Trump was "making arrangements" to send the USNS Comfort to America's financial capital.

"The President is going to dispatch the Comfort to us, it will be in New York City harbour," Cuomo told reporters.
