Sixty-eight colleges and state-run universities, having post-graduate courses, will admit students through the CPET as against the practice of having individual selection tests, he said.
Last year, the varsity had received 2,58,388 applications and the figure was 278,544 in 2018.
It said examinations for the final semester students would be conducted before the end of September 2020, as per
UGC guidelines and Governor Vajubhai Vala has given his assent for the same.
A decision on determination of the students' marks will be taken after a study of the guidelines to be issued by the Union HRD Ministry in the next few days, Technical Education Minister Subhash Garg said.
