Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) unveiled its compact sedan Xcent, marking its entry into high growth segment.

The new car would be competing with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze.
This new model is among the four new models that the company plans to launch in the next two years, including a compact sports utility vehicle (SUV), to enhance its position in the market.
The compact sedan segment is currently one of the fastest growing segments in Indian auto market.
The beige and black theme for the dashboard is carried on to the seats as well.
The Hyundai Xcent will be launched in March 2014.

The compact sedan Xcent would be available in two engine options - petrol and diesel.
The Hyundai Xcent gets ABS, rear parking assist, dual airbags, central locking and rear defogger.
Rear A/C vents carried forward from the Grandi10 make it a segment first for this compact sedan.
