Japanese auto major Honda will showcase a range of products, including the global unveiling of study model of a new crossover - Honda Vision XS-1, at the upcoming Auto Expo. The event will be held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida.
The Brio-based MPV (Mobilio) is slated to launch this year and will feature the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol motor used in the City and the 1.5-litre i-DTEC Earth Dreams diesel already seen in the Amaze. The Mobilio will take on the Ertiga, Enjoy and the soon to be launched GO+.
The all-new 3rd generation Honda Jazz will also be displayed for the first time in India. The previous Jazz didn’t do so well since it was overpriced initially. The new Jazz however will be produced in Honda’s second plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan and will be localised heavily to keep costs low. To make the deal sweeter, HCIL will also have a diesel-engined Jazz for the Indian market.
This is Honda Vezel SUV. It was earlier speculated to be unveiled at Auto Expo. While Honda will not display the Vezel SUV at the expo, it will instead have the Vision XS-1 creative study model on display. We expect the Vision XS-1 to be the Brio-based SUV concept.
Honda's new Accord Hybrid will be on display at the Honda stall.
Honda's NSX Concept will also be showcased at Auto Expo 2014.
It will also showcase production models, including the 4th generation all-new City and the compact sedan Amaze equipped with advanced i-DTEC diesel engine.
Other production models on show will also include the hatchback Brio and sports utility vehicle CR-V.
