Normal life in Mumbai has been crippled as heavy rains continue to batter the city for the second day on Wednesday.
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 48 hours in Mumbai.
Colaba has recorded 158.6 mm of rain in the last 20 hours.
Heavy rains in Mumbai have led to waterlogging at Hindmata, Grant Road, Napean Sea Road and Lokhandwala Complex.
The Met department has also predicted heavy rainfall along the Konkan coast in the next 60 hours.
Around 222 spots have been identified as prone to waterlogging in Mumbai.
Trains are running close to half an hour late in Mumbai due to heavy rainfall.
The BMC has issued an advisory to parents asking them to pick up their children from the schools.
According to reports some schools have remain shut due to the heavy rains.
A high tide is expected on Wednesday at 1.27 pm in Mumbai.
