Bigg Boss 2 made headlines for Aditi Gowitrikar and Tanaaz Irani's juvenile prank. They had pulled down comedian Raju Srivastav's shorts during a poolside party, which didn't go down well with the Information and Broadcasting ministry. And it sent the channel a show-cause notice for letting obscenity and vulgar language be used in 'Bigg Boss'.

In 'Bigg Boss 6', Sapna Bhavnani slammed Salman Khan and referred to him as 'serial woman-beater'. Salman too responded to Bhavnani's claim that she didn't participate in the show for monetary gain. He said, If you are not here to play the game, are you on a picnic at a resort?"
Unlike other controversial contestants who got dragged in meaningless and petty fights, Imam Siddique did vex Aashka and Nirahua and wore Aashka's outfit and started behaving in a brazen manner in the house. When Aashka passed a personal comment, he began stripping his clothes in front of the camera.
