Celebrities pay their last respect to actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar

TV actress Pooja Ghai and Govind Nihalani pay their last respect.

Amrapurkar worked with Nihalani in 1984 for Ardh Satya for which he received the Best Supporting Actor Filmfare award.

Amrapurkar's body was kept in Bhaidas Auditorium in Mumbai on Monday. Social activist Medha Patkar was seen paying her condolences.

Filmmaker Anil Sharma also came to pay his last respect.

Marathi and Hindi film actress Reema Lagoo was seen paying her condolence to Amrapurkar's wife.

Sadashiv Amrapurkar, 64, is survived by his wife and three daughters.

Veteran actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar passed away on Monday morning after suffering of a lung infection. Comedian Sunil Pal paying his respect to the late actor.

"His cremation will take place in his hometown Ahmed Nagar tomorrow. Today (Monday) his body will be kept at the Bhaidas Auditorium for the people to pay their last respect," his daughter said.(IANS)

During his career, Sadashiv won two Filmfare awards -- in 1984, he won the award for the best supporting actor for 'Ardh Satya' and in 1991, the best villain trophy for his portrayal of a ruthless eunuch in 'Sadak'.

Filmmaker Indra Kumar, with whom Sadashiv Amrapurkar worked in 'Ishq', came to pay his last respect.
