The fun flavour of the film will remind you of 'Khatta Meetha', 'Baaton Baaton Mein', 'Khoobsurat', all of which were comedies but there was no silly act or slapstick there.
It stars Himesh Reshammiya, Sonal Sehgal and Purbi Joshi in lead roles.
The film follows the story of a common man (Himesh) who has a nagging girlfriend (Purbi).
On the other hand 'Damadamm' is far more fun oriented.
'Damadamm', debut directorial of Swapna Waghmare, stars Himesh Reshammiya in the lead role and is his fifth film after the back-to-back flops 'Aap Kaa Surroor', 'Karzz', 'Radio' and 'Kajraare'.
However he starts seeing a different meaning of love when he comes across another girl (Sonal).
Though 'RA.One's' release is the biggest thing this Diwali, Sonal says she is not nervous for her film, which releases on the same day.
Reshammiya's character in the movie was just apt for him.
Reshammiya was completely effortless playing Sameer.
'Radio' was a relatively far more serious film and dealt with complex relationships.
Damadamm was earlier titled as Ishq Unplugged.
It is slated for release on 27 October 2011.
It will face competition with Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One.
The theatrical trailer was unveiled on 30 August 2011, and in cinemas with Bodyguard.
The story focuses on Sameer (Himesh Reshammiya) who has finally got his freedom when his stubby-girlfriend Shikha (Purbi Joshi) has left for a family wedding.
The film's original soundtrack has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya and Sachin Gupta while the lyrics are penned by Sameer, Himesh Reshammiya and Shabbir Ahmed.
