A die-hard Salman Khan fan, she was offered to play Kareena Kapoor's best friend in 'Bodyguard' which Shah refused to do as she had prior commitments.
Daisy was first seen in a Tamil film 'Vandae Matharam' in a cameo role.
Its not a regular feature that a background dancer gets to feature as the leading heroine of a Salman Khan movie. Daisy Shah, 28, makes her debut as the leading lady of the much awaited 'Jai Ho'.
Daisy was first spotted by Salman Khan during the shoot of 'Maine Pyaar Kyu Kiya' in 2005. Shah was a background dancer in the film.
The Mumbai girl started her career in showbiz as a background dancer and then assisted choreographer Ganesh Acharya for three years.
A trained dancer, Daisy has done special dance numbers in several Tamil and Kannada films in the past.
The actress made her debut in a lead role in a Kannada film called 'Bhadra' in 2011.
Apparently, Salman was miffed with Daisy as she had turned down the role in 'Bodyguard' which eventually Hazel Keech did.
Daisy has also dabbled with modelling before joining films.
