This month the iconic film 'Sholay' is completing 40 years of its release. Here we bring to you a list of 10 iconic villains of Bollywood.Gabbar Singh (Sholay): Played by Amjad Khan, Gabbar was a the leader of a group of dacoits who looted the villages in the region of Ramgarh. He haa a sadistic personality and killed people to continue his status and to take revenge on his enemies.
Gajendra (Ram Aur Shyaam) : Pran played the roles of an abusive and oppressive brother-in-law Gajendra. He was shrewd, cunning and had this air of pride that makes him one of the most stylish villain of Bollywood.
Lion (Kalicharan): Who could forget the mannerism and sleak style of Ajit in Kalicharan! Lion was the crime mastermind under whom black-marketing, smuggling and robberies flourished, befor Kalicharan brings down the curtain on his illegal activities. Mogambo (Mr India): Played by Amrish Puri in the eighties sci-fi cult classic, Mr India, his dialogue “Mogambo Khush Hua” is the biggest and the most used iconic villainous line. known for his the character was known excessive cruelty, making people jump into acid.
Shakaal (Shaan): The bald villain played by Kulbhushan Kharbanda, was based on the James Bond villain, Blofeld. He was stylish, shrewd, manipulative and the calm and composure on his face made him one of the most dreadful villains of all times.
Dr Dang (Karma): Dr Dang was possibly the first 'terrorist villain' of Hindi cinema. The versatile actor Anupam Kher lived the character with expressive acting and strong dialogue delivery.
Jageera (China Town): Rememeber ‘mere man ko bhaya, main kutta kaat ke khaya’? Mukesh Tiwari brought to life a character that was rough, cruel to the core and hateful.
Crime Master Gogo (Andaz Apna Apna): Played by Shakti Kpaoor, Gogo is the most loved villian of Bollywood. Funny, quirky and mad, he had all the mannerism that the rest of the icons do not posses.
Lajja Shankar (Sangharsh): This iconic villain brough chills down the spine of the audience. Ashutosh Rana, played the role of a psycho-path brilliantly.
Kaancha (Agneepath 2012) : Sanjay Dutt totally rocked this one and lived up to all the expectations and comparisons that were being drawn between him and Danny, who played the villain in Amitabh's 'Agneepath'. The mere look of Sanjay is terrifying. Isnt it?
