'Leader' opened to positive reviews for Rana Daggubati, he received praise from critics for his mature performance in the film. He received the Filmfare Award (South) and CineMAA Award for Best Male Debut of the year.
Rana has also been in news for allegedly dating Trisha Krishnan, whom he calls his very close friend.
Rana's third film, 'Nenu Naa Rakshasi' saw him opposite Ileana D'Cruz, which was released in April, 2011.
Daggubati's next film 'Naa Ishtam' turned out to be a dud, the film was also a big letdown when it comes to Rana's acting skills.
His performance in 'Leader' landed him in Bollywood with 'Dum Maaro Dum', an another above average grosser at the box office. He received nomination into Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for the film.
In a career spanning three years, with mostly flops to his name, he's received good reviews for his performance.
His last Hindi release, 'Department' was another add on to his flop list. He'll be next seen in Bollywoood doing a cameo in 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani'.
Rana's latest release 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum' is a bilingual film. This social-drama has been made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. It will see him romancing Nayanthara.
Other than his performance in 'Dum Maaro Dum', he was also in the headline for romantically linked with Bipasha Basu. Though he denied any such news.
