'Chak De! India' actress Shilpa Shukla who was in Jammu and Kashmir to attend the ongoing Ladakh International Film Festival (LIFF), will also be attending the 33rd initiation of Kalachakra with the Dalai Lama.
Actors Deepti Naval and Rajit Kapoor made the most of their stay in Leh. On their first day in the city, which was meant for them to acclimitise to the weather, both were spotted in the local markets. Even though the actors were dressed causally, they were easily recognised by the locals.
We may have seen her play different roles in her films, but it was a delight to watch Deepti play the role of a true tourist. She was spotted scanning jewellery and trinkets that were available in the market.
The third edition of Ladakh International Film Festival, which offered an interesting mix of Indian and global films (especially from Venezuela, Italy, Cuba and South Korea), saw the presence of several eminent filmmakers. Among those who attended the recently-concluded festival were Deepti Naval, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Amole Gupte, Anurag Kashyap.
Unlike any other celebrity who would have had qualms waiting at the airport, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who was spotted at the Leh airport made the most of his wait. He was not only seen interacting with movie buffs and fans, but was also willing to get snapped with them.
LIFF 2014 also organized Fish Planting session on the banks of River Indus, which denotes the origin of the civilization. Filmmakers Amole Gupte, Deepti Naval, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Rajit Kapoor were also present for the session.
