The 26-year-old Anushka Sharma, who also plays the main lead in 'NH10', says it is a content-driven film.
Actress Anushka Sharma, who makes her debut as a producer in the upcoming road drama "NH10", describes her new role as a blessing and says it gives her lot of happiness.
"I can't differentiate myself between a producer and an actress. I want to involve with the film to the maximum as it's a content driven film," she told IANS.
Being a producer for this film gives me lot of happiness. It's really a blessing. I had lot of fun. When I started shooting the film, I did not concentrate on other things because I have a team of wonderful co-producers," she added.
The film, directed by Navdeep Singh of 'Manorama Six Feet Under' fame, is co-produced by Phantom Films, Sunil and Krishika Lulla.
'NH10' narrates the story of a young couple whose road trip goes horribly wrong.
Interestingly, 'NH10' does not have any songs -- completely unlike a Bollywood film.
"I have always worked in those films where I felt I can tell a good story. Songs didn't fit in this film. We wanted to make this film as real as possible. We have made this film in the most honest way. Hopefully, people can see our efforts," Anushka explained..
As the film is releasing during the Cricket World Cup 2015, Anushka, who is dating new Indian Test captain Virat Kohli, said, "We will be promoting the film here (India) but if I go then you will see me there."
In the film's second look, which was unveiled yesterday, the model-actress was seen looking angry and about to hit someone with a rod. 'NH10' is set to hit the theatres on March 6.
