Celebrated filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Bahubali took cinemagoers in the country by a storm for nearly two consecutive years. The film, shot in Tamil and Telugu, was also dubbed in Malayalam and Hindi. Now, we have learnt, that the film is set to be remade in Gujarati.
Jani brothers, Nitin and Tarun, who have worked on several successful Gujarati films, have bagged this project and will soon start working on the Gujarati remake of Bahubali. Ask them if they were apprehensive about working on a project that is among the most celebrated movies in Indian cinema, thanks to its scale and performances, and Nitin says, “What’s life without a little risk? We think we can do the best in our potential to make Bahubali in Gujarati.”
Explaining why they decided to make the film in Gujarati, Tarun adds, “The audience loves the magnificence of the film. We want Gujarati cinema lovers to get that kind of a beautiful cinematic experience in their language. That’s why we decided to make Bahubali in Gujarati.”
