Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar Remember 'Shooter Dadi' Chandro Tomar with Throwback Pics

Octogenarian shooter Chandro Tomar, aka ‘Shooter Dadi’, passed away on Friday after suffering from Covid-19. Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar shared throwback pictures with her to condole her death.

Taapse Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar had starred in Chandro and her sister Prakashi Tomar’s biographical film Saand Ki Aankh.

Bhumi Pednekar had essayed the role of Chandro and Taapsee Pannu played her sister Prakashi Tomar, who is also a sharpshooter.

Chandro Tomar went on to win more than 30 national championships since she learnt shooting in 1999 when she was already in her 60s.

Hailing from a village in Uttar Pradesh, Chandro and Prakshi had encouraged other women in the country by showcasing their sharpshooting skills.

Chandro Tomar is believed to be the oldest woman sharp shooter in the world.

'You will live on forever in all the girls you gave hope to live', said Taapsee Pannu as she shared a throwback picture with Chandro Tomar.
