Well-known fashion designer and Padma Shri awardee Wendell Rodricks died on February 12 following a prolonged illness. He died at 17.45 hrs. Family sources said that the funeral is scheduled for February 13. Besides being an A-list designer, Rodricks was also an activist for various social causes, the environment, and gay rights. Sejal Sharma, who acted in TV show Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her Mira Road residence on January 24, 2020. Sharma was a known face in the advertising world before moving on to TV. She worked with a number of Bollywood actors for her TV commercials. Originally from Udaipur in Rajasthan, Sharma moved to Mumbai in 2017. She also acted in a web show titled Azad Parinde, a report says. This is second such death of a TV actor in recent times. Geeta Mali, a playback singer who had sung for some Marathi films died in an accident on Mumbai-Agra highway in Thane district on November 14, 2019, police said. She was heading for Nashik, her hometown, after returning from the United States when the car in which she and her husband Vijay were travelling rammed into a container parked alongside the road. Both Geeta and Vijay were injured seriously and taken to Shahpur Rural Hospital, but Geeta died during treatment, police said. South Korean pop star and actress Sulli was found dead at her home in Seoul on October 14, 2019. A report by Yonhap news agency said the 25-year-old was found after her manager went to her home in Seongnam because she didn't answer phone calls for hours. The report cited police as saying there were no signs of foul play.

Gopalnath, whose name is synonymous with saxophone in India, is a Padmashree awardee and is survived by his wife and two sons.

The actor, most famous for playing the dacoit Kalia in "Sholay" and Robert in "Andaz Apna Apna", died at his residence. "He passed away today at 6.55 am peacefully in his sleep at the residence. He has been unwell since quite some time. He had multiple organ failure," actor Bhavana Balsavar, his niece, told PTI. In a huge loss to the Mollywood, veteran Malayalam actor Sathar passed away on September 17, morning at a hospital in Aluva, Kochi, Kerala.
The 67-year-old actor was unwell and undergoing treatment for the liver-related disease. Sathar was active in the 1970s and 80s and has acted in about 144 films in the span, essaying the characters of both a hero and a villain in these films. Vidya Sinha, who acted in films like Pati, Patni Aur Woh, Rajnigandha, Chhoti Si Baat among others, passed away on August 15, 2019. She was 71. Earlier in the week, Vidya was put on ventilator support in the hospital in Mumbai. She was diagnosed with lung disorder a while ago and her condition had become worse since three months.
