Chinese smartphone maker Realme has launched its latest flagship offering, the Realme GT 5G in China. The new Realme flagship comes powered by Qualcomm’s flagship processor, the Snapdragon 888 and has been priced at CNY 2,799 onwards in China (roughly Rs 31,500). The Realme GT 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup and runs on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out-of-the-box.
Prices for the Realme GT 5G start at CNY 2,799 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The top-spec 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs 37,000). The smartphone has been launched in two colour variants – Blue and Silver. The company has also launched a Vegan Leather edition and the smartphone will go on sale starting March 10 in China.
In terms of specifications, the Realme GT 5G sports a 6.43-inch super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate with 1000 nits of peak brightness. The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 and has a hole-punch design. Further, the Realme GT 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with Adreno 660 GPU and up to 12GB of RAM. There is a maximum of 256GB of internal storage on offer. There is a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.
In terms of camera, the Realme GT 5G has been launched with a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 64-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Up front, the Realme GT 5G comes with a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. The camera also comes with other features like a ProRAW mode, AI selfies, 4K video recording at 60fps and more.
In terms of connectivity, the Realme GT 5G comes with dual-mode 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a USB type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It is not known when the Realme GT 5G will be launched globally but reports are suggesting that the smartphone will make it to the Indian market soon.
