Puneri Paltan are again of the original teams of Pro Kabaddi league and represents the city of Pune. The teams plays at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex.
Puneri Paltan is coached by Anup Kumar and is captained by Deepak Hooda and are owned by Rajesh Harkishandas Doshi, Sumanlal Babulal Shah, Nallepilly Ramaswami Subramanian.
Puneri Paltan has been relatively unsuccessful after finishing last during its first two seasons (2014 and 2015). Puneri Paltan then learned from their mistakes during the January 2016 season, making the playoffs for the first time and eventually finishing third. Narrowly missing the playoffs in the June 2016 season, they earned a playoff spot in 2017 season. In the 2018-19 season, the team failed to qualify for the playoffs
