Tamil Thalaivas joined Pro Kabaddi league in season 6 and is based out of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Tamil Thalaivas play their home matches at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Tamil Thalaivas is owned by industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad and co-owned by the cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, actors Allu Arjun and Ram Charan and film producer Allu Aravind. Actor Vijay Sethupathi is the brand ambassador of the team.
Since making its debut in the PKL, Tamil Thalaivas, led by Ajay Thakur, hasn't had much success after finishing rock bottom in Zone B, both in 2017 and 2018-19.
Season 7 has seen the signings of star raiders Rahul Chaudhari, Ajith Kumar V, Rann Singh along with defenders like Mohit Chillar and all-rounders like Shabeer Bapu.
