New Delhi: In another setback for Sahara chief Subrata Roy, the Supreme Court on Thursday again deferred hearing on his contempt case saying it will only hear Sahara's plea against his detention when the company gives a proposal to refund the crores it owes to its investors.
The hearing has been adjourned till March 25. Subrata Roy will stay in jail till then.
Sahara had moved the Supreme Court challenging Roy's detention for not depositing RS 24,000 crore with market regulator SEBI. Roy and two Sahara directors Ravi Shankar Dubey and Ashok Roy Choudhary were sent to judicial custody on March 4 by a Supreme Court special bench of justices KS Radhakrishnan and JS Khehar
