India and Australia played a historic Border-Gavaskar series in 2020-21. Cricketnext, on the two year anniversary of the Gabba match, brings you a video series with a recap of the 4th Test in Brisbane. This is about a journey which started off with a shock wherein India got all out at 36 in the first Test but then came out stronger at MCG where they won it by 8 wickets. After that, India travelled to Sydney where they got bruised, abused and what not. But, the grit and determination of the team was very high as they drew the third test with sheer hard work. On the first day at Gabba, Australia had won the toss and decided to bat. They started off well with Labuschagne’s century but on the second day, Australia couldn’t bag a lot of runs. However, Tim Paine scored a half century and then Australia went all out on 369 on day 2.Then India came out to bat with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill as openers. Gill went back cheaply as he scored only 7 runs. However, Rohit managed to get 44 runs but then Nathan Lyon sent him back as well. Pujara and Rahane had just taken the charge of the innings when the weather turned bad. The black clouds took over the stadium and soon rain stopped the match. Due to wet outfield the day got ended with India at 62/5.The third day at Gabba was all about Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar.
