Mumbai: Rapper 50 Cent is all set to rock Mumbai on Sunday, November 18. Here’s a small download on the rapper and why his fans will be in for a treat when they see him perform live. Coming out to rap from a youth filled with drug peddling and crime 50 Cent, found well wishers in the late 90s in the form of hip hop big wigs, like Dr Dre and Eminem, amongst others who were not alien to tough times of the Afro-American ghetto. They helped produce his early albums like Get Rich or Die Trying and The Massacre. Both those albums put his style on the mainstream and got him Grammy nominations. Soon 50 Cent became a hip hop icon. That not only meant that his tracks were being played across the hip hop world but his business on the side, like the G Unit clothing company as well as his label associations, were also booming. This year in September he released Curtis. His latest album rhymes in continuity with his bad style. He has been criticised for not putting too much soul and easiness into his music but for the fans that make their way to MMRDA Grounds on Sunday, it's the trade mark rough and groovy baselines that will have them beating the rush hour traffic.
