Mumbai: Dressed like Santa Claus and lending his voice to a fusion Christmas carol, Akshay Kumar is all set to kick off 2007 with romantic comedy Namaste, London.

Shot in London for over three months, the film is about a Punjabi boy trying to win over an NRI girl's heart.

“The jingle is for her and the balle is for me. India is big today and foreigners also love everything Indian,” says Akshay.

And as far as his character in the film, Akshay says it is close to his roots.

"Namaste, London is me. You can take me out of Punjab but you can't take Punjab out of Akshay,” says the die-hard Punjabi actor.

Rumours of Akshay making a re-entry in the Yashraj camp and signing a big deal with Adlabs were doing the rounds in Bollywood but after keeping his silence on the issue, Akshay now denies any such dramatic career moves.

"I don’t talk if they don’t ask me. As of now, I have not signed any such films,” Akshay explains.

It seems after making his mark in Bollywood in almost all genres, Akshay really doesn’t need the support system of a big banner to retain his popularity.
