Ahmedabad: Gujarat Police are close to solving the murder of well-known Right to Information (RTI) activist Amit Jethwa, a killing that has caused widespread outrage. Investigation into the brutal killing of the RTI activist in July has zeroed in on the family of BJP strongman and MP Dinu Bogha Solanki.

The Ahmedabad Crime Branch says that arrested constable Bahadur Singh Vadher has confessed that Shiva Solanki, who is Dinu Solanki's nephew, allegedly got Jethwa killed. A crime branch team has left for Junagadh in search of Shiva Solanki. But is Dinu Solanki also on the Crime Branch radar?

"I cannot say for the moment. I have told you the point of investigation we have reached so far," says JCP Crime Mohan Kumar Jha.

But Amit's father Bhikhubhai Jethwa still feels that the BJP government is trying to shield its MP. He sticks to his statement that Dinu Solanki has masterminded Jethwa's killing.

"There is BJP government and even if police wants to, they can do nothing about it, because they will not be allowed to," says Sot2. Bhikhubhai Jethwa.

Like the Jethwa family, there are very few who believe the police version. It's a known fact that Shiva does nothing without the knowledge and approval of his uncle and mentor Dinu Solanki.
