Mumbai: Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar's appearance during the filming of Namaste London left his fellow actor Upen Patel tongue tied, a newspaper reported on Monday. Kumar recently turned up to watch an emotional scene being acted out by co-star Patel, said director Vipul Shah. Patel had been performing well, but when he spotted Kumar seated quietly near a television monitor, he turned jittery and began fumbling. "Upen just couldn't deliver his dialogue," Shah told the newspaper. "We kept on doing retakes and even after 20 retakes Upen couldn't deliver the scene," he added. Shah finally asked Akshay to leave the set so Patel could complete the shot. Upen acknowledged he was intimidated by Kumar's presence. "He's my role model and I became very conscious of his presence," he said. Martial arts expert Akshay, 39, has acted in more than 70 movies over the past 15 years. His string of successes include Phir Hera Pheri and Garam Masala. Bollywood newcomer, Upen, 26, has acted in one movie 36 China Town, which was released this year.
