Show cause notice issued to defence lawyers by Bar Council of India

The Bar Council of India has issued show cause notices to the two defence lawyers ML Sharma and AP Singh over their outrageous statements featured in the Nirbhaya documentary. They have been asked to reply in three weeks time. "We have issued the show cause notices to ML Sharma and AP Singh for their alleged remarks made in the (BBC) documentary," BCI Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra said.
