King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are on a seven day state visit to India from 5-11 November 2017. The visit aimed at enhancing bilateral ties, including in trade in other areas of cooperation, will also mark 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The royal couple was accompanied by six ministers and a high powered business delegation comprising CEOs of 86 Belgian companies. India is Belgium's second largest export destination and third largest trade partner outside EU, according to official data. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and King Philippe on Tuesday also held talks to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.
