Geneva: The world's largest scientific experiment will try to collide particles at the highest energy level so far from March 30. Researchers will collide proton beams at record high energy in a new bid to discover secrets of the universe. 
 
Here's the timeline of the Big Bang experiment: 
 
September 10, 2008 : The Large Hadron Collider (LHC), also called The Big Bang Experiment is fired up. As tiny atom particles smash into each other, 10,000 scientists from around the globe wait - for nature to reveal her secrets. 
 
September 19, 2008: Ten days later, disaster strikes. Freezing helium gas, supposed to cool down the experiment, leaks out. Two vital magnets are fried and the experiment shuts down. Scientists promise a restart within a month. 
 
November 3, 2008: A bird drops bread crumbs into an electric substation. Short-circuit causes further damage. Restart plans are pushed, to next year. 
 
October 9, 2009: Just a month before the re-start, a scientist working with the project is arrested on suspicion of working with the al-Qaeda. 
 
October 2009: Scientists suggest Nature herself has jinxed the LHC. She's traveling back in time to sabotage it. They argue that America's Superconducting Super Collider, similar to the LHC, was abandoned in 1993 after spending billions, because of similar problems. 
 
November 20, 2009: The LHC reopens. It has taken 14 months and $40 million. She's been colliding atom particles with increasing violence ever since. 
 
“We have spent last one and a half-month running system checks. Now we are really ready for beam, said Physicist, LHC Richard Jacobsson.
