Patna: The flood situation in Bihar has worsened with more than 180 people dead and over a lakh affected across 15 districts in the state. Lining up for food, fighting for every morsel and braving the sun with polythene sheets, it's a day by day struggle for more than 2 million flood victims in Bihar after flood waters of the Ganga devastated lives in over 15 districts. 
 
"We are not getting adequate food. When children fall ill, the families have no one to turn to. There is no help from the government," said a flood victim, Rupali Devi. 
 
Millions of flood victims have taken shelter either on the embankments or in the 89 government camps across the state. "We have been given almost nothing by the government. People are feeding themselves with food they have saved and rationed. Our homes continue to be flooded. The situation is very bad," said another flood victim Prabhunath Rai. 
 
It's not 2 square meal a day, which is their concern now. Their concern is their future as to what happens after the water recedes, when they go back to their devastated villages where their houses are washed away and cattle dead. The real ordeal begins then when they will have to survive on their own with little government support. 
 
Over 180 people have died and with the state's major rivers, including the Ganga and Kosi not receding, worries are on the rise. Already standing crops including paddy, banana and maize worth crores of rupees have been destroyed.
