Can A Combined Opposition Stump The Modi Wave?

Its all over in Karnataka. What was looking like a thriller ended up frankly in a tame manner. BS Yeddyurappa, who over the last three days was showing no signs of giving up, was perhaps boxed into a corner by the Supreme Court. The first body blow to Yeddyurappa's desire of being the Chief Minister came last night when the SC preponed the trust vote to today. The second and most critical one coming this morning when it was decided by the Karntaka Governor's counsel Tushar Mehta that there would be live proceedings of the event. Maybe all of this forced him to resign. The question that it raises is if the Modi wave can be stumped by a combined opposition in 2019.
