New Delhi: Underworld don and the man who tops India's most wanted list Dawood Ibrahim has been caught on tape by a western intelligence agency.
The agency has claimed to have recorded a telephonic conversation involving the underworld don, the location of which has been traced to Clifton suburb in Pakistan's Karachi.
In the recording, Dawood seems to be having a conversation with someone in Dubai regarding a property deal. Indian external intelligence agency Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) has sought the phone recording.
Indian intelligence agencies have been trying to trace and nab Dawood ever since he fled to Pakistan more than two decades ago after masterminding the 1993 Bombay blasts, the biggest terror strike in the country.
Earlier in the year, sources claimed that India came very close to eliminating Dawood in 2013. A team of Indian commandos had infiltrated into Pakistan to hunt Dawood and were all set to execute the highly secret operation before they were asked to not carry out the strike.
