Delhi's Tibetans Talk Politics And The Future Of Tibet

Thousands of Tibetans flee from their own motherland to India due to the Chinese occupation of mountain locked nation of Tibet in the year 1960.India gave asylum to the 14th Dalai Lama who turned 83 on the 6th of July and went on to become the highly renowned spiritual leader.
In 1995 the figure holding highest authority after Dalai Lama, the 11th Panchen Lama a six- year- old by the name Gedhun Choekyi Nyima was kidnapped by China and has been lost since then. The Chinese government appointed their own man Gyancain Norbu as the 11th Panchen Lama who is rejected worldwide by the people.
The responsibility to choose the 15th Dalai Lama now lies Tibetan Buddhists.
The main goal for the freedom of Tibet also seen changes over the years. Dalai Lama now asks for autonomy from the Chinese .But there are people within the Tibetans like Tenzin Tsundue a Tibetan Activist who seek freedom of Tibet and not autonomy.
But the people of Tibet haven’t lost hope in the fate of their country. But only time will tell who will be the next Dalai Lama and what will happen to the freedom movement of Tibet.
