Mumbai: Veteran actor Dilip Kumar continues to be in the hospital since Sunday night after he complained of chest pain and uneasiness. Dilip Kumar was rushed to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital on Sunday night after the 90-year-old reportedly complained of chest pain and uneasiness.
Kumar was admitted to the ICU after the doctors confirmed that he had suffered from myocardial infarction - a heart condition. The Bollywood superstar was accompanied by wife Saira Banu who confirmed that his condition was stable.
"Dilip Kumar's condition is stable. He had discomfort due to an open heart surgery he had 14 years back. He also had a viral infection on September 13, so as a precautionary measure, we brought him to the hospital," Saira Banu said.
On Monday, some close relatives including the actor's brother Ahsan Khan and friends from the industry checked in on the star. "His heart rate is slow but he is stable and he is in his senses and is also able to recognise people. The doctors have confirmed that he is stable and depending on his condition he will be discharged in a couple of days," actor Raza Murad said.
