New Delhi: The report submitted by Nagaland state government to the Union Home Ministry on the Dimapur lynching case ruled out rape and rather called it a case of consensual sex.

As per the report submitted on Wednesday, the girl went with the 'accused' on her own and was paid Rs 5000 by the accused.

The report is based on the statement of accused Sayed Shareef who was in one day police custody before being lynched on last Thursday.

The last rites of the accused took place on Sunday in his hometown of Karimganj in Assam. His family alleged that he was framed and demands justice.
