PM Narendra Modi urged opposition leaders to work towards fulfilling aspirations of the people as parliament convenes for the first time after the election of 17th Lok Sabha. PM stressed on the unity between opposition and the govt and said that opposition leaders shouldn’t bother about numbers they got in the recent elections and instead focus on collaborative work in the parliament. The ongoing budget session is the first sitting of the 17th Lok Sabha. It will run till July 26. Several key bills and ordinances are likely to be taken up during the session. The highlights of this session will be the much-anticipated union budget which will be presented by India’s first woman FM Nirmala Sitharaman.
