He shared the news that his father veteran actor director Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with early stage throat cancer, and will be undergoing surgery for the same on Tuesday. Rakesh Roshan is known for movies such as Khoobsurat and Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. Hrithik’s post post read Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldnt miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him.” Hrithik’ sister Sunanina Roshan was diagnosed with cervical cancer a few years ago but beat it successfully.

Actors Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, filmmaker Rohit Shetty and producer Karan Johar got together to celebrate the success of their recently released film Simmba with a star-studded bash in Mumbai on Monday. Simmba is having a greatl run at the box office and the film is inches away from cruising past the coveted Rs. 200 crore mark, while SRK’s Zero that released a week before it hasn’t yet touched the 100 cr mark. The success bash of Simmba was attended by Ranveer’s wife Deepika Padukone plus actor Ajay Devgn, who has an extended cameo in the film and his wife Kajol. Akshay Kumar who had a guest appearance in Simmba was also part of the celebration. Simmba marked Ranveer's first collaboration with Rohit Shetty.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis released the first poster of biopic titled PM Narendra Modi in 23 languages In Mumbai on Monday. The CM was present at the poster release event along with director Omung Kumar, co-producer Suresh Oberoi and actor Vivek Anand Oberoi who steps into the shoes of Narendra Modi for this biopic that was conceived 2 years back. The shoot will start mid- January, however it’s not still clear whether the film will release before 2019 elections or not.
