New Delhi: Day three at the Osians' Cinefan Film Festival saw Delhiites take full advantage of a Sunday and rush to Siri Fort auditorium for a Pan-Asian and Arab movie experience. 
 
One of films being showcased on Sunday was the Sanjay Suri-Gul Panag-starrer Anubhav. 
 
Though the tagline is suggestive of the recently in news male casting couch in the film industry, Anubhav is about male gigolos. 
 
It is a co-incidence that Suri plays an actor who can't always find enough work to support him. But the similarities end here. 
 
Suri goes on to wed a rich girl who is disowned by the father for marrying below her rank, and when their baby is born with a rare disease, the man of the house is forced to prostitute himself. 
 
“The better actor you are, the more you get paid so that’s the justification he has. Slowly, he loses perspective and can’t differentiate between the real him, the actor and the gigolo, who he really is,” said Sanjay Suri. 
 
The film is national award-winning director Rajeev Nath's first Hindi feature and according to the director, deals with a tough theme that he had to do a lot of homework for. 
 
“I met gigolos. In some countries they are called male escorts, in some countries, companions. So I did my homework before making the film,” said Rajeev Nath. 
 
Also starring Jackie Shroff, Raj Zutshi and South Indian actor Anoop Menon, the film is being showcased in the Indian mosaic section that also includes films like 1971 and Khosla Ka Ghosla.
