Prime Minister Modi launched his campaign blitz, starting from Meerut and moving to the Jammu, pushing a pan India campaign narrative similar to the 2019 fight. There are 8 seats in Western Uttar Pradesh which go to the polls in the first phase of the elections on April 11. The BJP has so far replaced 12 of its sitting MPs in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates for another 20 odd seats are yet to be announced.
