Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been in India for nearly a week now. Five days on, no senior leader has met him, barring Punjab chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. Finally, on 23rd February, Trudeau will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This trip is not like any other state visit of recent times. The Canadian PM received a lukewarm welcome when he arrived in Delhi, he was received by Minister of State for Agriculture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. PM Modi, who had accompanied Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Chinese President Xi Jinping during their visits to Gujarat, has not even put out a welcome tweet for 46-year-old Trudeau. Worse was what played out today when photographs of the Canadian Prime Minister's wife with a Khalistani terrorist Jaspal Atwal came out in the public domain. Will this impact the talks between the two heads of states on Friday? Watch Epicentre Plus for more.
