Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi 6 has also wooed the audience with its promos. The movie stars Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan and is all set to hit the threatres.
Sonam shares her Delhi 6 experience with CNN-IBN. Here is an excerpt of the interview -
Rajeev Masand: Both Sanjay Leela Bansali and Rakeysh Mehra are very protective about their vision and they both are very individualistic filmmakers, what is the difference between their working style?
Sonam Kapoor: Mr Bansali needs everything to be like his visual. The hair have to be exactly the way he imagines and everything has to be very constructive, everything is very choreographed but that has its own beauty. It is completely his vision. With Rakeysh everything is organic. There is a story and he doesn't let you go out of the story but at the same time you are doing your own thing. So, the difference is that Mr Bansali is more like the oil painting and Rakeysh is more like water painting.
Rajeev Masand: Whatever little we have seen of Delhi 6 until now, there is an interesting song in which one sees your character goes from this simple homely girl around her home to this young hip trendy girl who switches her clothes and how she looks when she is secretly going out to meet friends. Did that strike the chord, do you have that?
Sonam Kapoor: I think all Indian girl have that. When you are at home, you try to be all sweet in front of your parents but when they are not around you want to go clubbing or meet friends. Your dad wants you wear a jacket on top of your clothes because he says guys must tease you. But then when you out you think who will look at you and you remove the jacket. This is what every girl does. And, because I am playing a very normal Delhi girl, so it was just a part of the character.
