New Delhi: A month after a young girl committed suicide in Goa, foul play is now being suspected.

Obscene MMS clips of the victim have come to light and are widely being circulated.

The Opposition BJP is now alleging that the girl, who is from Ponda, committed suicide because she was being blackmailed.

The police have registered a case of abetment to suicide and are trying to track the source of the MMS.

The post-mortem report on the girl ruled out any sexual assault.

Meanwhile, the BJP is accusing the government of a cover-up and has alleged that several influential people are involved in the case.

“There are MMS that are circulating in Ponda. I have been able to capture one MMS. It proves that the girl was forced to give that pose and has been blackmailed,” said Leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar.

“Probably, she committed suicide because she could not bear the pressure of blackmail. Blackmailers have to be brought to book,” he stated.

Though the suicide took place a month ago, it was only recently taken up when the BJP sought an intervention from the National Commission for Women.
