Mumbai: The Namesake star, Kal Penn hit the red carpet with co-star John Cho for the LA premiere of their new comedy, Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay on Thursday.
"This isn't a political movie by any means. It just sort of pokes fun at ourselves and our country," says Kal Penn.
After their 2004 hit Harold And Kumar Go To White Castle, this time round in Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, the duo finds itself in trouble on board a flight to Amsterdam when they are mistaken for terrorists.
The friends are then packed off to the Guantanamo Bay detention camp but they manage to break out from prison.
This comedy follows the adventures of the two fugitives as they travel through Miami to Texas
Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay opens in the US on April 25.
