Mangalore: The body of the Indian-origin nurse Jacintha Saldanha, who committed suicide following a prank call by two Australian radio presenters who impersonated the Queen and Prince Charles to seek details about the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, arrived in Mangalore on Sunday afternoon. The body will be kept at the KMC hospital in Manipal and the funeral will take place on Monday in Shirva, her hometown.

Jacintha's family held a memorial service outside Westminster Cathedral in London before leaving for Mangalore.

The 46-year-old nurse committed suicide at her apartment near the King Edward hospital. In her three suicide notes, Jacintha slammed the Australian radio jockeys, the staff at her hospital and mentioned details for her funeral.

Her family has now demanded a probe into the suicide notes. India has said it will take the matter up with Australian authorities. Calling impersonation a serious issue, Rajya Sabha MP Oscar Fernandes said that the matter will be brought before the Australian authorities for serious consideration.
