Japan’s 1st Woman Fighter Pilot

Japan has appointed its first female fighter pilot. Lt. Misa Matsushima joined the Japan Air Self Defense Force after graduating from the National Defense Academy in 2014. She's one of 13,000 servicewomen, who account for just 6% of all Japanese troops.
