New Delhi: Shocking information surfaced when officials working for juvenile homes revealed its details to CNN-IBN on hidden camera. 
 
The officials said some juveniles, use existing provisions in the law to threaten them. These officials fear for their lives and admit they sometimes ignore the rampant violence and abuse inside homes despite knowing the truth. 
 
Officials from a juvenile home in the national capital confirmed that rioting, arson and violent crimes were common inside these homes. 
 
The officials confessed instances of figthing, sexual abuse are quite frequent inside the juvenile homes, but added that they are forced to look the other way. 
 
Officials added most of the juvenile offenders are aware of the law and hence exploit the situation by committing crimes repeatedly. 
 
Others are of the view, that the authorities are not concerned about counselling inmates, who at times, face depression due to their deplorable condition. A female counsellor of a juvenile home in Delhi said, "I write reports of a particular child being in depression or having suicidal tendencies, but no one reads it." 
 
The female counsellor added that the children inside the juvenile homes intimidate them too by saying that if their demands are not met then they would complaint to the higher authority that they were being verbally abused. 
 
Officials even went on to say that the juveniles were so bold that they openly said they would carry on doing crimes till the age of 18. 
 
From these shocking admissions its clear that the juvenile reform homes and the justice system are failing in their purpose.
