From Akhila to Hadiya, the 24-year-old woman from Kerala seems to have walked a long and dangerous path. The homeopathy student's marriage to a Muslim, Shafin Jahan, has been annulled by the Kerala HC. The court called it a case of Love Jihad. But her story is not just about religious conversion. It is also about the right of an adult, especially a woman, to make her own choices. Now, the Kerala Women's commission has approached the SC, saying that Hadiya's human rights are being violated.
