Hizbul man seeks refuge in J-K

As the Jammu and Kashmir government finalises the return policy for youth, a 24-year-old Hizbul militant has escaped from a Pakistani training camp for a better life.

Mohammad Ashraff escaped from a militant camp and took an arduous trek for 10 days. The 24-year-old risked it all for a better life. Mohammad Ashraff, a Hizbul Mujaheddin militant, had crossed over to Pakistan in 1999 and had been training at the Kacharban militant camp there. Three months ago, he married a 20-year-old Pakistani resident Aisma and that's when they decided to flee.
